My brother, sister, and I hired this Barnes Lipscomb Stewart & Ott to assist us with closing the estate after our father passed away. Although he was very generous to his widow, she wanted more... Well actually she wanted everything, regardless of what our Father's will had directed. It was very unfortunate that we had to resort to using lawyers, as we had hoped to work together with our step mother, especially as she and my sister were very close for many years--until our father passed and greed overtook rational thought. Our step mother dragged this process out for over three years. Thankfully, we were referred to Mrs. Barnes. We did not want anything that was not rightfully ours; we just wanted our step mother to transfer our assets to us and to stop her from continuing to steal money from us. Most of all, we wanted this ordeal to end. Mrs. Barnes basically became a member of our family throughout this process, in that I believe that she actually cared for and about us, as opposed to just representing a client and collecting fees.
